Made in China- My Nephew has Arrived

My newest nephew has arrived. The son of my sister Lisa and her husband Adam Li, Ethan Li arrived on 2/21/2006 in Chengdu, China and weighed 8lbs 15oz.
I got the news of his arrival just an hour after he was born and had the privelege of phoning Grandpa Wiedemann (my dad) at 1:30 a.m. (his time) to tell him Grandchild #6 had arrived. When I later asked my Mom if she could see any Wiedemann or Gudmand family resemblance, she simply replied, "No, just Li". I'm sure we'll see some Scandinavian features at some point, but since he's "made in China", it's good he looks the part. More pictures here.

What a great demonstration of "called alongside to help". This event is from 2003 and probably was circulated around the internet then, but it was new to me when I saw it at a leadership conference this weekend. This coach is a pretty classy guy.
